Trinity (also known as triquetra) and Celtic knots--as
well as the
Claddagh and Celtic cross--are all popular Irish wedding ring
designs. Because these are universal symbols of love and togetherness,
they are popular with those of non-Irish descent as well. Irish wedding bands are generally made in a wide range of sizes and are suited for use
as wedding (and promise) rings for both the man and woman. For this reason,
many designs are unisex--available in a range of sizes--or are sold in
compatible designs for each gender.
